PARTNERSHIPS AND COLLABORATIONS

In order to succeed and enhance the impact of the Fund programmes across the country, partnerships and sectorial collaborations are vital. NFDK has been intentional in forming strategic partnerships as guided by its strategic plans and objectives. Through these partnerships, information, expertise and resources have been shared making it easier to successfully implement some programmes.

Some of NFDK partners include: –

GOVERNMENT OF KENYA

The Fund receives considerable funding from the Kenya Government through the Office of the President in a bid to supplement our income from the 4 (four) commercial (rental) properties. The National Government through the National Administration Department in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government as well as the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection assists the Fund through distribution and endorsement of application for assistance forms to our beneficiaries across the country and onward forwarding back to the secretariat at Rehema House.

NATIONAL COUNCIL FOR PERSONS WITH DISABILITIES AND OPDS

NCPWD is a State corporation established under the Disability Act, 2003. The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya works with NCPWD and other Organizations of Persons with Disabilities to ensure a barrier free, inclusive society and promote the well-being of PWDs in Kenya through advocacy and awareness programs.

SAFARICOM FOUNDATION

NFDK has partnered with Safaricom Foundation in transforming the lives of children with disabilities in their institutions of learning. The Fund give grants to special schools, units and vocational centers for infrastructural development and Safaricom Foundation has assisted us in equipping many of those facilities.

KENGEN PLC

NFDK has partnered with KenGen PLC in enhancing the learning experiences of learners with disabilities. The Fund give grants to special schools, units and vocational centers for infrastructural development and KenGen assists in equipping some of those facilities.
