The Fund works concertedly, overtly, and behind the scenes with various partners to create an enabling environment for our beneficiaries to achieve as much as possible from our donations and realize their full potential. Towards this, the Fund has partnered with several organizations to support our projects and reach as many Persons with Disabilities as possible. Such partnerships have enabled us to achieve our mandate in enhancing social and economic empowerment to persons with disability in Kenya.

The Fund receives considerable funding from the Kenya Government through the Office of the President in a bid to supplement our income from the 3 (three) commercial (rental) properties. The National Government through the National Administration Department in the Ministry of Interior and Coordination of National Government as well as the Ministry of Labour and Social Protection assists the Fund through distribution and endorsement of application for assistance forms to our beneficiaries across the country and onward forwarding back to the secretariat at Rehema House.
NCPWD is a State corporation established under the Disability Act, 2003. The National Fund for the Disabled of Kenya works with NCPWD and other Disabled Persons Organizations to ensure a barrier free, inclusive society and promote the well-being of PWDs in Kenya through advocacy.
NFDK has partnered with Safaricom Foundation in transforming the lives of children with disabilities in their institutions of learning. The Fund give grants to special schools, units and vocational centers for infrastructural development and Safaricom Foundation has assisted us in equipping many of those facilities.
NFDK has partnered with Starkey Hearing Foundation – a global organizations that provides hearing aid gadgets to those in need of them. The Foundation has trained NFDK staff in identification, screening and giving ear care services to potential hearing aid candidates during their missions. Some of the Foundation’s beneficiaries for hearing aids in Kenya are drawn from NFDK’s database.
Our partnership with Doshi Group of Companies and related entities like Sanghrajka Foundation, has seen numerous PWDs receive assistive and rehabilitative devices like wheelchairs and artificial limbs as well as food donation to special schools in Nairobi and its environs.
Through support of disability mainstreaming and advocacy initiatives to ensure the interests of students and staff with disabilities are addressed.
